Safety and Wellness

Safety and Wellness

Our standards for safety and cleanliness have always been high, but during these times, we’ve instituted new protocols, hospital grade antimicrobial products, and procedures to ensure the most comprehensive protections are in place to keep our residents and employees well. Rest assured that whether you live, work, or visit WEL, your safety is paramount to us and we will continue to be vigilant in our protection processes. Residents enjoy a vast array of wellness services and programs designed to promote continued physical, emotional and spiritual health. Services include wellness centers with physicians and nurse practitioners, fitness centers with personal trainers and classes, activities, clubs, entertainment, trips, spiritual life programs, worship services, and more.

Rewarding Workplace

Rewarding Workplace

Wesley Enhanced Living was named as a Best Workplace in Aging Services™ by Fortune in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021, as well as a Great Place to Work® in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.

WEL is a learning organization. We believe you learn and teach by questioning. Our human potential philosophy is to inspire and empower each generation of WEL leaders to reach their highest potential.

Through professional development programs, a comprehensive benefits program, and resources such as our WEL University and the WEL Learning Center, we provide ongoing opportunities for employees to build upon their knowledge base, talents and skills. It is our hope that our approaches will help all employees reach their professional potential and exceed the expectations of those we serve.

Regional Leader in Aging Services

Regional Leader in Aging Services

For the past 133+ years, we have maintained our steadfast commitment to serve aging adults within supportive and thriving community environments. Now serving over 1,200 residents with more than 1,100 employees throughout Pennsylvania, the Wesley Enhanced Living communities located in Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties provide various combinations of independent living, personal care services, memory care, and rehabilitation and skilled nursing services. Our newest affiliation, Martins Run, a CCRC with a stellar reputation and following, enables Wesley Enhanced Living to serve aging adults throughout the Delaware region. That facility, now known as Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line, underwent a multi-million dollar transformation in 2020 that included a grand, two-story main entrance, lobby, and pub, as well as upgrades to our independent living, personal care, skilled nursing accommodations, and public areas.

Charitable Giving Programs

Charitable Giving Programs

The Wesley Enhanced Living Foundation provides us opportunities to serve our residents, family members, friends, neighbors, and surrounding communities, including raising funds to ensure seniors continue to receive valuable services and needed assistance.

Giving opportunities, such as our benevolent care fund, provide support to residents who have outlived their means. Other generous donations help fund projects such as the renovations at our Pennypack Park community, as well as helped to build new mediation and prayer chapels for residents.
