Volunteer Opportunities
“The ultimate expression of generosity is not in giving of what you have, but in giving of who you are.” Johnnetta B. Cole
Every Wesley Enhanced Living community promotes a culture in which each and every person is valued as a giver and receiver of skills, talents, and experiences – and it is in this kind of inspired and vibrant environment that we’ve found the spirit of volunteerism truly prospers.
It has always been our pleasure to honor and welcome the diverse talents and skills of friends and neighbors who contribute to and enrich our communities, and we continue to eagerly look forward to growing our volunteer corps. Additionally, we ambitiously seek opportunities for our residents to contribute their wisdom and talents to cultural, educational, and charitable interests and concerns within the wider community.
All WEL communities are diverse in their programming, catering to the individual needs of the people who reside within. Volunteer opportunities range from assisting with crafts and activities to performing or lecturing on your favorite topic or sharing your favorite skill. Our music program may need a knowledgeable Ipod user, or our book club may need a reader for the visually impaired. We encourage visitors in our health centers and welcome pets for pet therapy programs. Whatever your talent or knowledge to share, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at the location of your choice and find out what opportunities are available! We look forward to working with you.
