Make an Easier Transition to Home
Through our unique One Step Closer to Home program, furnished apartments are available for residents who have completed their Medicare stay but need continued support before they are ready to return home. As part of this program, guests are provided with meals, medication management, access to therapy services, our heated indoor pool and fitness center, and opportunities to participate in leisure programs and activities.
Respite Care
Respite care offers caregivers peace of mind and a high-quality alternative should they wish to vacation or need to travel for business. Residents who come for respite care enjoy all the amenities provided for our full-time residents.
How to Pay for Nursing Care
For short-term rehabilitation stays, Medicare or a Medicare Managed Care plan will pay for a majority of the care in a nursing facility while on a skilled stay. For those with long-term care needs, the cost of care is paid from the individual’s funds. Once depleted, a Medicaid application is submitted by the facility with the assistance of the individual and/or the individual’s family. Not all skilled nursing facilities have Medicaid certified beds. All Wesley Enhanced Living communities have Medicaid certified beds, which is helpful to residents requiring long-term care following a skilled stay. Wesley Enhanced Living will work with court appointed guardians for long-term care placements.
